APARTMENTS, PHOTOS, AVAILABILITY & 2011-2012 RATES (scroll down for availability and rates)
My Europe Base at Zell on the Mosel River (Rhineland, Germany) has available 4 delightful, self-contained, fully furnished studio, one and two bedroom apartments for short or long term holiday vacation rental.
Just 2 minutes walk to the town centre's promenade, all apartments look out over the Mosel River and vineyards. Sizes are: 20 sq m for the open-plan 'Mosel Studio'; 30 sq m for a one-bedroom 'River View I' OR 'River View II'; and 55 sq m for the two-bedroom 'Mosel Balcony'. They all offer king size beds (of 2 single mattresses adjacent) , fully equipped kitchen, dining table, bathroom, TV, DVD and radio. One bedroom apartments also have a sofa that converts to an extra double bed.
For internet access we have wi-fi coming in Feb 2012 which will be free - and 2 mobile websticks already available at the house to link to Germany's T-mobile network on the moveat the charge of 5 Euro per day used (as per T-mobile rates).

Décor: Our apartments are light with white tiled floors, whitewash rendered walls, lacquered pine ceilings and quality furniture. The house exterior is in the traditional half-timbered style and is one of Zell's prettiest.
The apartments
Mosel Balcony Apartment: Our roomiest and equivalent to 4 star standard. Balcony doors and bedroom 1 windows overlook the Mosel. Sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 children. Both bedrooms have big double beds comprising single mattresses. The second bedroom and second bathroom are accessed through the first bedroom.
River View Apartments x 2 (I and II): One bedroom with separate lounge-dining-kitchen of 3+ star standard. 3 windows overlook the Mosel. Sleeps up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. We have two apartments of this configuration. One of these is located on our entry floor (10 steps from street).
Mosel Studio Apartment: One good size studio room with the lot and of 3+ star standard. The one picturesque window overlooks the Mosel. Sleeps up to 2 adults and 1 small child in main bed.
Each apartment is cleaned and checked before use. Fresh linen is provided weekly. An extra charge may apply if left untidy, for example if the kitchen is messy. See Bookings page for full conditions.
Availability: February to March 2012 availability is good. If you're interested in April to October 2012 please let us know and we can 'pencil' you in. Deposits can usually wait until we're within 9 months of a stay commencing.
Rates: Our rates for short stays of 1-2 weeks are set in Euros. Longer stays of 4+ weeks are set in Australian Dollars. This reflects where our different length of stay customers tend to come from. One AUD is about 0.75 to 0.80 Euro cents therefore long stay bookings enjoy a per week rate 20-25% lower. After one week or more, part weeks are charged pro-rata. For stays of 2 to 3 weeks, we can do a discount on our Euro weekly rates.
Pay by bank transfer or Paypal: We accept direct payments in either Euros or AUD to our accounts with Sparkasse Mittelmosel and National Australia Bank. We also have a PayPal account, offering secure and easy payment from other currencies via your credit card or Paypal linked bank account.
Short stays (set in Euros): We are open for advance bookings of at least 2 nights. Our rates for 2 or 3 night stays are based on a nightly rate of 1/4th the weekly rate on Fri and Sat nights and 1/5th for other nights. Stays of 4, 5 or 6 nights are adjusted – nightly rates will be 10-30% higher than if on the weekly rate. Final cleaning is included. Weekly rates vary between 200 and 600 Euros according to the apartment and season. See chart below.
Long stays (set in AUD Australian $, approx same as USD): Our focus for extended stays is the Australian, NZ and North American markets. Our long-stay rates are charged in AUD (or equivalent converted in Euros). Rates start at $200 AUD per week for 4 weeks during Winter Jan-Mar 2012 in the Mosel Studio apartment.
X-Long Stays: A further 10% discount is available for stays of 13 weeks or longer in the months of Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr and May.
