Mosel weather: Summers are warm with long daylight. Spring and Autumn are ideal for hiking and cycling. Winter isn't too dismal and the occasional snows are very photogenic - anyway you can still chase the sun with cheap flights to Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands and Morocco!

Medical – a large regional hospital is situated 4kms away at Zell Barl, connected by frequent bus service.

Shopping – in addition to stores in the old town, there is a large Globus Hypermarket also at Zell Barl, across the river and up on the hill. Buses run up regularly.
